Conneck was started by a student studying Finance and Economics at the University of Cape Town in the year 2017, Alva Jnr Senderayi. While in his first year noticed a need for students to have a storage solution for their Fridges and appliances over the summer holidays and during that time he was battling from numerous life situations and it was at that time he had to decide to change the hands of time. That is how Conneck was born.
With just a “bakkie” that he had saved up for years, he started the business. Running around like a headless chicken doing everything by himself. He realized a growing connection between the students’ needs and the service required by them
As a result of the “Connection”, him and a friend Thabiso Binta were laughing one day and Thabiso said, “You should name the business Conneck.” At first, it was a bit confusing as they went back and forth trying to determine whether to figure out whether the friend had said Conneck or Connect. That was the hard part but once that was established the motto was next.
A simple question that echoed the distance of his finance and economics brain, “What is your biggest worry with your business at the moment?” The answer he gave was “Time, I have to be On Time Every Time for my clients”.
